A second suspect has been arrested in connection to the fatal shooting of Luis G. Vicente-Martinez, who was found dead inside a van in southeast Orlando last month.
On March 15, 2025, at approximately 2:48 a.m., Orlando Police officers responded to the 5700 block of Curry Ford Road following a 911 call reporting multiple gunshots coming from a parked van. When officers arrived, they discovered Vicente-Martinez suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators determined the incident was a robbery and that the suspected shooter fled the state shortly after the crime. On April 11, law enforcement officials located and arrested the primary suspect, Gabriel Joel Bruno De Leon, in Puerto Rico. He was taken into custody through a coordinated effort involving the U.S. Marshals Service, Homeland Security, and the San Juan Extradition Unit.
Bruno De Leon, 27, has been charged with first-degree murder with a firearm, robbery with a firearm, and second-degree grand theft.
In a recent development, police have arrested a second individual believed to have assisted in the crime. On April 28, the Orlando Police Department’s Fugitive Investigative Unit apprehended Ibanys Oliver, 43, who is accused of driving the vehicle used in the murder. He has been charged with accessory after the fact to a capital felony.
The case remains under investigation. Authorities are urging anyone with information related to the crime to contact the Orlando Police Department or provide anonymous tips through Crimeline at 1-800-423-TIPS.
