ORLANDO, Fla. — Central Florida families looking for an indoor weekend activity will have dozens of options under one roof when the Florida Kids and Family Expo returns to the Orange County Convention Center Aug. 22–23.
The two-day event, presented by Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children, is expected to feature more than 175 exhibitors, interactive activity zones, live entertainment, animal encounters, sports, STEM activities and resources for parents and children.
Among the attractions announced by organizers are a petting zoo, pony and camel rides, Touch-A-Truck, character meet-and-greets, princess makeovers, face painting and sports zones featuring basketball, tennis and putt-putt.
Children can also participate in STEM and virtual reality activities, rock climbing, train rides, lightsaber training and other activities. Live aerial performances and wrestling are also scheduled.
Family Resources Beyond the Entertainment
The Expo combines entertainment with an opportunity for parents to learn about Central Florida organizations and businesses serving children and families.
Exhibitors will provide information about education, healthcare, camps, sports, attractions, enrichment programs, financial services and other family resources.
Animal experiences are expected to include appearances from Gatorland, Cock-a-Doodle-Doo, That Animal Guy and Pet Skunk Rescue.
Organizers also say participating exhibitors will offer prizes, samples and giveaways while supplies last. Children may have opportunities to receive complimentary Fun Spot tickets, while the first 50 children visiting the Crayola booth each day are expected to receive complimentary Crayola Experience tickets.
Florida Kids and Family Expo Hours and Tickets
The Florida Kids and Family Expo will be held at the Orange County Convention Center’s West Concourse.
Saturday, Aug. 22: 10 a.m.–4 p.m.
Sunday, Aug. 23: 11 a.m.–5 p.m.
Advance admission starts at $10, according to organizers, with family ticket packages available. Children ages 2 and younger are admitted free. Admission at the door is $20.
