By Jim Madison and Wayne Freeman

In a complete rout, the UCF Knights crushed the North Carolina A&T Aggies in a rainy battle on Saturday night, September 6.

The game was pretty much heralded following the opening kickoff.  The Aggies won the coin toss and opted to receive in the 2nd half.  Receiving the opening kickoff from North Carolina A&T kicker, UCF’s Jaden Nixon returned the ball for an exhilarating , 96 yards, for the Knights’s first of nine touchdowns.

This was the first meeting between the two schools, but not the Aggie’s first visit to Orlando.  On August 31, 2014, North Carolina A&T played in the MEAC/SWAC Challenge held here in Orlando against Alabama A&M at what was called Bright House Network Stadium.  A&T won that game 47-13.

Returning back to Orlando to face UCF, the Aggies faced their first Power 4 conference opponent.  UCF is a member of the Big 12 Conference.

Following that initial touchdown, the Knight added four more touchdowns and two field goals to end the half 40-0.

Adding 28 additional points in the 2nd half, UCF’s offense dominated throughout the game, generating a total of 560 yards. North Carolina A&T struggled offensively, only gaining 200 total yards.
