Orlando Police arrest teen in armed robbery

Jai’lyn Bythwood, suspect in March 25th armed robbery of 7-11 on North Orange Blossom Trail
On March 25, 2024, at approximately 5:36 a.m., patrol responded to an armed robbery at the 7-Eleven located at 5570 N. Orange Blossom Trail. During the armed robbery, the suspect held the clerk at gunpoint and fired a round which narrowly missed striking the clerk.
Violent Crimes Detectives identified the suspect as Jai’lyn Bythwood, B/M, 4/02/2008. Bythwood was arrested this morning as he approached the bus stop located at 5298 N. Orange Blossom Trail. He had a loaded firearm in his backpack.
Bythwood is charged with Robbery Armed with a Firearm While Wearing a Mask,  Aggravated Assault with a Firearm, and Possession of a Firearm by a Delinquent.
