On March 28, 2024, at approximately 11 a.m., Orlando Police officers responded to the 800 block of Dorado Avenue in reference to a shooting. Our investigation has revealed two subjects came to the residence armed to settle a landlord tenant dispute. An argument ensued at the residence resulting in both subjects being shot by the tenant.
One subject who was shot was pronounced deceased on the scene. He has been identified as Angel Luis Santos (White Hispanic Male 40yoa). The second subject who was shot was transported to ORMC with non-life-threatening injuries.
Today, our Fugitive Investigative Unit has arrested Joel Santos Garcia (White Hispanic Male 38yoa). Orlando Police Department Homicide Detectives have charged Santos Garcia with Second Degree Felony Murder and Burglary of a Dwelling with a Firearm.
