Teen Arrested in Fatal Shooting of 4-Year-Old at Orlando Apartment Complex

ORLANDO, Fla. — The Orlando Police Department has arrested an 18-year-old in connection with the fatal shooting of a 4-year-old child at an Orlando apartment complex last month.

According to investigators, members of the Orlando Police Fugitive Task Force arrested Brandon Sir Nevaeh McCloud, 18, on the morning of August 5, 2026, following an investigation into the child’s death.

The arrest stems from a shooting reported on July 17, 2026, at approximately 11:34 a.m. at the Stella West Apartments, located at 2611 Bent Willow Circle in Orlando. Responding officers found a 4-year-old child suffering from a gunshot wound. The child was transported to a local hospital but later died from the injuries.

Following its investigation, Orlando Police detectives determined that McCloud was allegedly handling a firearm in a careless manner when the shooting occurred, resulting in the child’s death.

McCloud has been charged with one count of Manslaughter under Florida Statute 782.07.

Police said the investigation remains active and ongoing. No additional details are being released at this time to protect the integrity of the case.
