On March 15, 2024, around 11:00 p.m., deputies responded to a physical altercation near the Amscot in the 700 block of South Goldenrod Road. Upon arrival, they found two 16- year-old females who had been stabbed. Both were transported to the hospital in critical condition, and one later died from her injuries. This is an active and ongoing investigation. We do not have further details for release at this time.

UPDATE:
The female who was fatally stabbed Friday night has been identified as Kennedy Williams (DOB: 09/10/2007).
The suspect of this case has been identified as Anthony Rushing (DOB: 10/18/2008). He was arrested and charged with one count of second degree murder.
There are no outstanding suspects.
