Orlando Commissioner Regina Hill Kicks Off Reelection Campaign

Orlando, FL — On Wednesday evening, Orlando Commissioner Regina Hill kicked-off her reelection campaign at the Heart of West Lakes Center in Orlando’s District 5.

A crowd of supporters and community leaders gathered to show their support for Hill. “I believe the box should be checked for me because I’ve proven that I am a leader, I’ve made promises that I’ve kept since 2014, and District 5 is now the epicenter of all things Orlando,” Hill said.

Hill didn’t hold back when asked about the issues surrounding her suspension. She quickly reminded the crowd, “No matter what I’m going through, I will still be the voice for the people.”

Hill also said that she is poised to fight for reelection. “I’m that phoenix that’s rising from the ashes. And, when the city rises, all of us should rise,” she said. Hill added, “We should not be on the menu. We should all be at the table — and that’s what’s needed now, and that’s what I’ve done before.”

Commissioner Hill also reminded the community that she has done more than serve as District 5’s commissioner. Hill served in the military and has served the Central Florida community as a nurse for 25 years. “I’ve been an advocate for people throughout the city, throughout Florida and throughout the nation.”
