Orlando’s 9th Annual “Back 2 School Drive” Set to Empower Hundreds of Local Families

ORLANDO, FL — The countdown is on for one of Orlando’s most anticipated community events of the summer — the 9th Annual Back 2 School Drive, happening Saturday, August 9, 2025, from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. at 916 Ivey Lane, Orlando, FL 32811.

Hosted by Safe Tax and Anthony-Smith Law, this back-to-school celebration has become a lifeline for local families, ensuring students start the school year with confidence, supplies, and community support.

A Day of Giving, Fun, and Community Spirit

Each year, with the help of generous donations and volunteers, the event delivers far more than just school supplies. Families can look forward to:

  • Free haircuts & hairstyling for students

  • Prize giveaways including laptops, tablets, gift cards, and TVs

  • Backpacks filled with essential school supplies

  • Free food and refreshments

  • Games and activities for all ages

Over the past nine years, the Back 2 School Drive has supported more than hundreds of families, giving local students the tools they need to succeed in the classroom. This year, organizers aim to reach at least 500 families, ensuring that no child walks into the first day of school unprepared.

Why This Event Matters

For many Orlando families, the cost of back-to-school shopping can be overwhelming. By providing backpacks, technology, and basic supplies at no cost, the drive helps to bridge the gap between financial hardship and educational success. The event also strengthens community bonds, connecting neighbors, volunteers, and local businesses in a shared mission to invest in the future of the city’s youth.
