By Linda Y. Walters

Last Friday, a newly constructed 5000 sq. ft. 7-Eleven store in Eustis, celebrated its grand opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. The store is one of the largest convenience stores in the area.

In attendance was Al Latimer, Economic Development Director with the City of Eustis and Corzell White, 7-Eleven Franchise Area Leader. Nearby residents also stopped in to see one of the largest 7-11 stores in the area.

This particular franchise is minority-owned.

According to zippia.com, a career website that provides data on corporations, gave 7-Eleven a diversity rating of 10 out of 10. Zippia calculates the diversity score of companies by measuring multiple factors, including the ethnic background, gender identity, and language skills of their workforce.

To franchise with 7‑Eleven, you must:

  • Have U.S. citizenship (or permanent residency) and be at least 21 years old
  • Pass a comprehensive background check
  • Not have any other business interests that, in the opinion of 7‑Eleven, might jeopardize your opportunity to successfully implement the 7‑Eleven business concept

The new Eustis store offers full services 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. It is located at 31631 Route 44.
