Orlando, FL — A suspect has been arrested in connection with a residential burglary and attempted sexual assault that occurred last month in the Orwin Manor neighborhood, according to the Orlando Police Department.
On the night of April 15, 2025, around 10:00 p.m., officers responded to a call reporting a burglary in progress at a home on Wilkinson Street. The victim told police that an unknown man had broken into her home and attempted to sexually assault her.
Following an investigation led by the Orlando Police Department and the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, authorities arrested 26-year-old Deriko Hill on May 20. Hill has been charged with Attempted Sexual Battery and Burglary of a Dwelling with Battery.
The suspect was initially described as a Black or Hispanic male in his late teens to early 20s, approximately 5’7″ to 5’10” tall with a thin build. He was last seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, which officials say may have since been removed in favor of a black shirt with a white design.
Law enforcement has not released further details at this time, citing the ongoing nature of the investigation.
