On Thursday, a fight at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom sparked rumors of gunfire after guests say they heard a “popping sound.”
According to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, there was no evidence that a shooting occurred. In a statement published on X by the Sheriff’s office, the sound may have been from a balloon popping.
The Orange County Sheriff’s Office stated, “One of the people involved in the original fight that started all of the commotion asked to be transported to the hospital. That is the only injury we are aware of, but Reedy Creek would have handled any medical calls on site, so please reach out to them for that information.”
There were no arrests made following the fight last night. Both parties declined to press charges.
