Tidal & Sprint Celebrate Sprint’s True Mobile 5G Launch In Chicago With Vic Mensa Pop-Up Show

Global streaming and entertainment platform TIDAL and Sprint (NYSE: S) announced an exciting way to help music fans mark the launch of Sprint’s True Mobile 5G network in areas of Chicago. The companies hosted an intimate concert featuring rapper Vic Mensa last weekend at the Chop Shop. Some fans were able to win an exclusive post-show artist meet-and-greet.

The Chicago native’s special pop-up show celebrated the launch of Sprint’s new blazing-fast 5G service and brought to life the unique benefits TIDAL offers its members. Vic Mensa’s performance came shortly after the release of his latest single “3 Years Sober” off his forthcoming album, 93PUNX.

To attend the event, Sprint customers with TIDAL and other existing TIDAL members had to RSVP beforehand. Fans who attended the Sprint store meet-and-greet had the chance to win a “VIP experience” to Mensa’s show by having or upgrading to the Unlimited Premium plan. The in-store experience also featured TIDAL listening stations with a playlist curated by Mensa and an afternoon of hits spun by DJ LMS.

TIDAL and Sprint will continue to celebrate the 5G network launch with additional events to be announced in other cities, as 5G service continues to launch in select additional markets in the coming weeks.

True Mobile 5G from Sprint is now available from the historic IL-64 in the north to the Stevenson Expressway in the south, and as far west as California Avenue to the periphery of Lake Michigan in the east.
