MUMBAI, India – Bollywood actor Vaani Kapoor celebrated her 33rd birthday on Aug. 23, 2021.
The actor, who will be seen in films like ” Shamshera ” with Ranbir Kapoor and ” Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui ” with Ayushmann Khurrana, shared her excitement about her upcoming films on social media. She said she is hopeful that these movies would position her “correctly” as a performer in the film industry.
“I have an exciting year to look forward to, actually! I have two big films Shamshera and Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui that are ready to release in theaters, and I’m hoping they will entertain audiences thoroughly, ”she said.
“These two films will also present me in completely different avatars, and I can’t wait to see the reaction from people for my performances.”
The “Befikre” actor shared that she has worked tremendously hard for “Shamshera” and “Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui” and is delighted about how they have shaped up.
“I have been choosy about the films that I select because I want to pick quality content over quantity, and I’m proud of both ‘Shamshera’ and ‘Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui,’” she said.
“They are films that will hopefully position me correctly as a performer who is looking to take the risks and push myself constantly to make a mark (sic).”
Khurrana, who will be sharing the screen with Kapoor in their upcoming film “Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui,” posted a selfie with Kapoor on his Instagram Story wishing her on her birthday.
“Happy birthday @_vaanikapoor_. Can’t wait for the world to see you as Maanvi in #ChandigarhKareAashiqui (sic),” he captioned the selfie.
Kapoor was last seen in the recently released movie “Bellbottom” alongside actor Akshay Kumar. Directed by Ranjit M. Tewari, the spy thriller film also features Lara Dutta and Huma Qureshi.
Her upcoming movie – “Shamshera,” produced by Yash Raj Films, is a dacoit drama set in the 19th century. It will chronicle the story of a dacoit tribe fighting for their rights and independence from the British. Apart from Kapoor and Ranbir Kapoor, it will feature Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt.
On the other hand, “Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui” is a modern-day love story, which has been produced by Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series in collaboration with Pragya Kapoor’s Guy In the Sky Pictures. This movie will mark the first-ever collaboration between Kapoor and Khurrana.
Kapoor debuted in the 2013 romantic comedy “Shuddh Desi Romance,” which was a critical and financial hit and garnered her a Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut.
She later made her acting debut in the Tamil film “Aaha Kalyanam” (2014). She is most recognized for her roles in the movie “Befikre” (2016), in which she co-starred with Ranveer Singh, and “War” (2019), in which she co-starred with Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff.
