MUMBAI, India — Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone, in a recent reel video on Instagram, disclosed her favorite thing about a shoot day. The clip also provides a glimpse of her various behind-the-scene shots with her team.

In the short video, Padukone can be seen getting ready in her vanity van.

“So I look forward to meeting the team that I’m going to work with. Especially my team because I know we have a lot of fun through the process, especially on film. It’s not always like a smooth thing, you know,” she said.

“Sometimes, you have tough days. Sometimes things go well. Sometimes things don’t go well. But at least when you have a fun team or everyone that gets each other, you kind of go through a day, and I think we’re all there to kind of pep each other up. So if someone’s having a bad day, I think we kind of, without being intrusive, help the person get through it,” said Padukone in the video.

“Teamwork,” she wrote along with the video. Accompanying the video with a rocket emoticon.

She re-shared the video to her Instagram story too.

Padukone recently came forward to help Bala Prajapati, an acid-attack survivor, by donating INR 15 lakh (USD 20517.2). Prajapati was her co-star in the 2020 film “Chhapaak.”

Padukone donated the money as Prajapati needed to undergo a kidney transplant, which was estimated to cost INR 16 lakh (USD 21885.1) in total. The “Padmaavat” actor in a jiffy donated 90 percent of the amount.

She donated the sum to Chhanv Foundation, which started the online crowdsourcing drive to collect the donations.

Ashish Kumar from Chhanv Foundation said that after learning about Prajapati’s condition, the actor came forward and donated INR 15 lakhs (USD 20517.2) in 2 different transactions.

Meanwhile, on the movie front, Padukone was last seen in “Chhapaak.” The film is based on Laxmi Agarwal’s life as an acid attack survivor. Actor Vikrant Massey and Madhurjeet Sarghi feature alongside Padukone in characters inspired by Agarwal.

With this Meghna Gulzar film, Padukone made her acting comeback two years after “Padmaavat” (2018). Fox Star Studios, Ka Productions, Avernus Productions, and Mriga Films all backed the project.

Padukone has a line-up of upcoming projects in the pipeline, including “83,” “Baiju Bawra,” “Fighter’, “Pathan,” and “K,” which is the Indian adaptation of Nancy Meyers’s 2015 hit Hollywood film “The Intern,” and will also feature Amitabh Bachchan.

Padukone recently also signed her second Hollywood film, a cross-cultural romantic comedy, the title of which has not been revealed yet.
