Lobbying firm Gray-Robinson, which has been a client of Orange County for years, has been terminated.
Earlier this week, Orange County Mayor Jerry Demings expressed his anger and concerned about a lobbyist, Chris Carmody, who wrote a bill for State Senator Linda Stewart to present to the Commission. Stewart is also a former Orange County Commissioner.
Reporter Stephen Hudak with The Orlando Sentinel broke the story after submitting a public records request for text messages between Stewart and Carmody proving they were working together to draft legislation that would significantly help the local tourism industry.
