Pornhub Website Announces It Will Deny Access to Floridians On Jan. 1

As a result of Florida HB 3, which will be going into effect on January 1st, Aylo which is the parent company of Pornhub, will be denying access to Floridians who seek to use the site.

A email released by Aylo states, “Unfortunately, the way many jurisdictions worldwide, including Florida, have chosen to implement age verification is ineffective, haphazard and dangerous. Any regulations that require hundreds of thousands of adult sites to collect significant amounts of highly personal sensitive personal information is putting user safety in jeopardy. Moreover, as experience has demonstrated, unless properly enforced, users will imply access non-compliant sites or find other methods of evading these laws.”

Other states have fought to block access to the site as well citing it publishes content that is harmful to minors. Both North Carolina and Montana have pushed for legislation to block access for anyone logging onto the site in those states as well.
