Orlando police are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred Sunday night in what authorities believe may be a domestic-related incident.

According to the Orlando Police Department, officers responded to a home at 746 West Livingston Street around 9:19 p.m. on May 18 after receiving a 911 call from a resident reporting gunfire inside the residence.

When officers arrived, they discovered a Black woman deceased inside the home. Authorities have confirmed that the victim was the roommate of the individual who made the emergency call.

While details remain limited, investigators say a person of interest stayed at the scene and is cooperating with law enforcement. No arrests have been announced.

Police have not released the name of the victim pending notification of next of kin.

The incident is being actively investigated, and no further information was available at the time of publication.
