The Orlando Magic suffered a disappointing loss 100-97 to the Los Angeles Clippers on Friday night at the Kia Center. This loss marks its third straight.
The slump couldn’t come at a worse time with the Eastern Conference playoff standings getting tighter. However, Orlando Coach said the team “did all it was ask to do” and insists the team is playing good basketball.
The Magic, a very young team standing fifth in the eastern conference was very competitive with the Clippers, a veteran squad standing fourth in the western conference and only 5 games out of first place.
Paolo Banchero (#5) led Orlando with 23 points and eight rebounds, but had two of his seven turnovers in the final minute. The 21-year-old power forward took the blame for the Magic’s third straight loss. Kawhi Leonard (# 2) carried the LA Clippers to a win on Friday night with 29 points, 11 rebounds, 5 assists, 4 steals, and 2 blocks. Photo and caption by Jessie Hewett.
