Orange County Leaders Celebrate Opening of New Winter Park Courthouse

Orange County Clerk of Courts Tiffany Moore Russell, Orange County Mayor Jerry L. Demings, Ninth Judicial Circuit Chief Judge Lisa T. Munyon along with other Orange County leaders held a ribbon cutting ceremony today for the new Winter Park Clerk of Courts office.

The new courthouse is an $18.9 million dollar investment to expand services to help meet the needs of Orange County residents. Clerk Russell said, “This courthouse represents a significant investment in our community — one that will better serve the people of Orange County for generations to come.”

Mayor Demings said, “We wouldn’t be here today but for our Clerk Tiffany Moore Russell. In July of 2020 Clerk Russell approached the Board of County Commissioners with a major capital project request. A new courthouse.”

Demings added, “Due to Orange County’s tremendous growth over the last decade, the demands for our justice system have truly evolved.”

This new courthouse is three times larger than the previous one.
