OPD Makes Arrest In BB Gun Shooting

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Arrest Made in the Jake Street and Lakemont Ave Incident
On Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at approximately 7:50 p.m., officers responded to Jake Street and Lakemont Ave regarding multiple calls from individuals who stated they were shot with a BB or airsoft gun. The witnesses reported juveniles driving in the Baldwin Park area and shooting pedestrians with the BB/airsoft gun.
Through their investigation, detectives were able to identify a suspect as 16-year-old Danny Lee Dulgar III. Dulgar was arrested and charged with 5 counts of Aggravated Battery with a Weapon and 1 count of Aggravated Assault with a Weapon. During a post-arrest interview, Dulgar admitted to using an “Orbeez” type gel gun to shoot multiple pedestrians.
