OCSO Searching for Suspect in 13-year-old girl’s Murder

On July 4, 2024, around 2:30 p.m., deputies responded to the 4400 block of South Rio Grande Avenue, regarding a 13-year-old girl found unresponsive.  When they arrived, they located the victim, later identified as Rose Thalie Dieujuste (DOB: 11/22/2010), with obvious signs of trauma. She was transported to the hospital and later died from her injuries.

Right now, our Homicide detectives are working tirelessly to uncover any information that could lead them to the person who murdered Rose.

The Orange County Sheriff’s Office stated, “We do not have any additional information to release at this time. As we have said previously, detectives are working this case very hard and we are not releasing any details of the crime at this time. Please remember, when we make these choices, it’s because any more detailed information can hurt the investigation, which is still in its early stages.”

The Orange County Sheriff’s Office added, “Our detectives are doing everything they can to catch Rose’s murderer and need the community’s help. No detail is too small.”

If you have any information about this murder, please call Crimeline at 800-423-8477 if they know anything that could help.
