TROY, Mich. — HTC Global Services on July 27 announced that Nitesh Bansal would be joining the company as its President and Chief Operating Officer.

Bansal will be responsible for global sales, marketing, delivery, and operations of the enterprise. He will report directly to Madhava Reddy, Chief Executive Officer and Founder, who will continue to drive strategy and direction for the company, said the company in a blog post.

Bansal was previously working at Infosys Limited, where he was the Senior Vice President, responsible for a billion-dollar Global Engineering unit — covering global sales, delivery, marketing, consulting, and strategy functions.

“We are excited to have someone of Nitesh’s caliber and experience to lead HTC Global Services in its next chapter of growth,” said Reddy.

“Nitesh’s appointment reflects our strategy and desire to accelerate our growth and make HTC Global Services a force to reckon with in this fast-changing world, full of opportunities and challenges. Nitesh is a technology visionary with a proven track record of success and execution. He has a strong drive, is customer-focused, with deep leadership capabilities.”

Bansal has served as a member of Global Futures Council for Advanced Manufacturing at the World Economic Forum, National R&D Council of NASSCOM, Industry Advisory Board of Tauber Institute of Global Operations, University of Michigan, Advisory Committee of SAE India, Suppliers Board of Open Networking Foundation (ONF), North and American Manufacturers Association.

“I am very excited about this opportunity and humbled by the trust Reddy, and the whole HTC organization has put in me,” Bansal said on his appointment.

“The world around us is rapidly evolving, and digital technologies are constantly changing the way we interact and consume. HTC, with its customer-centric approach and pedigree of high-quality service delivery, is at the right place to catapult itself into becoming the trusted partner of choice that can make digital change happen. I look forward to working with all clients and partners of HTC to achieve this together.”

HTC saw quarterly revenue of NT$1.18 billion ($42.16 million) with a gross margin of 29.0 percent in the first quarter of the fiscal year 2021 that ended in March.

“In March, HTC launched the latest additions to the VR ecosystem, the VIVE Tracker 3.0 and VIVE Facial Tracker,” HTC said in its Q1 2021 financial report.

“The VIVE Tracker has led the industry in accurately tracking peripherals and body movements in VR, and has been deployed in a wide range of use cases including medical simulations, virtual movie productions, and first responder and elite sports training.”
