Missing 7-Year-Old Child Found Dead In Orange County

This morning, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office (OCSO) issued an alert for a missing seven-year-old. Emerson Felix had not been seen by his family since yesterday evening. The child was last seen in the area of Flintshire Street, which is near Rio Grand Avenue and 40th Street. Emerson was wearing a white t-shirt, light blue basketball shorts with a black stripe down the side and blue Puma slides.

Sadly, in a media alert this afternoon, OCSO stated, “We are devastated to inform you that our deputies have found Emerson Felix, deceased, in a body of water near his home where he was reported missing. Our detectives are still looking into how this tragedy occurred. We mourn Emerson’s loss and extend our heartfelt condolences and prayers to his family, his classmates and all who love him.”

The official cause and manner of death must come from the Medical Examiner’s Office.
