ORLANDO, Fla. — A man in his thirties is in critical condition after being shot near South Orange Blossom Trail in Orange County on Saturday afternoon, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office (OCSO).
Deputies responded to reports of a shooting around 2:45 p.m. near a Marathon gas station, where part of the scene was quickly roped off with police tape. A short time later, the victim was found nearby at the Lyme Bay Condos, less than a mile from the original location.
Investigators believe the man traveled to the condos for help after being shot. His current condition remains critical, and his identity has not been released.
At the condo complex, authorities focused their attention on a brown Volvo SUV with a shattered rear window. The vehicle’s connection to the victim remains unclear, but it is now a central focus in the investigation.
Detectives, deputies, and forensic investigators worked both scenes Saturday, gathering evidence and interviewing potential witnesses. The investigation remains active.
