Man Fatally Shot During Suspected Drug Deal in Orlando

Orlando, FL — A man was shot and killed early Sunday morning in what police believe was a drug-related incident on North Orange Blossom Trail.

At approximately 1:33 a.m. on March 16, 2025, Orlando Police  responded to a call about a gunshot victim in the 5200 block of North Orange Blossom Trail. Upon arriving at the scene, officers found a vehicle with two occupants—a male suffering from a gunshot wound and a female passenger.

The male victim, later identified as 26-year-old Jared A. Kinloch, was transported by Orlando Fire Department medics to Orlando Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. Kinloch was a Black male, according to police reports.

In an interview with detectives, the female passenger told authorities that the shooting took place during a drug transaction, though further details about the circumstances remain unclear.
