Jamaican American Association of Central Florida Inc. (JAAOCF) Celebrates 40th Anniversary with Memorable MLK Parade/Reception Participation
The Jamaican American Association of Central Florida Inc. (JAAOCF) proudly marked its 40th anniversary by participating in the MLK Parade and Reception on January 20, 2025. This momentous occasion was made even more special by the first-time participation of our “Success Club” members in the after-parade reception.
A NEW MILESTONE
Led by Ms. Omaria Watson, our young “Success Club” members took the stage at the West Oaks Mall in Ocoee, Florida. Their enthusiasm and energy were contagious, making the event an unforgettable experience for all involved.
A LONG-STANDING COMMITMENT TO UNITY
The JAAOCF has been a dedicated supporter of the MLK Parade for many years. Our president, Joan M. Edghill, expressed her gratitude to the organizers, saying, “We are thankful for their tireless efforts in promoting unity, equality, and diversity. Their dedication to preserving Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy is truly inspiring.”
PRESERVING HERITAGE AND SERVING THE COMMUNITY
As we celebrate this milestone anniversary, the JAAOCF remains committed to its mission of providing access to financial resources, education, and community service. We strive to preserve, enhance, and promote the cultural heritage of Jamaicans, while serving the broader Central Florida community.
