Harris-Walz and Democratic Leaders On North Florida Rural Tour

Florida Harris-Walz and Democratic Leaders On North Florida Rural Tour Emphasize VP Harris’ Plans to Lower Costs, Highlight the Economic Disaster if Donald Trump Elected

On Sunday, North Carolina Congressman Wiley Nickel, state Representative Dianne Hart, state Senate candidate Daryl Parks and Florida Democratic Party Chair Nikki Fried toured rural communities in North Florida, including Madison, Suwannee, and Columbia, mobilizing voters. Elected Democratic leaders talked to local voters about Vice President Kamala Harris’ vision and plan for A New Way Forward, creating an opportunity economy that will build up the middle class, boost small businesses, and reduce Americans’ grocery, health care, and housing costs.

During the North Florida stops, Congressman Nickel met with more than 300 Floridians to contrast Vice President Harris and Governor Walz’s vision for a brighter, more hopeful future versus Donald Trump and JD Vance’s Project 2025 that will give Trump unprecedented, unchecked power to enact his extreme and dangerous agenda. While Vice President Kamala Harris is announcing her plans to help America grow, Donald Trump’s Project 2025 will increase prices, weaken the middle class, and cut much-needed programs used by millions of everyday Americans, including Social Security, Medicare, and the Affordable Care Act.

“South Georgia and North Florida are excited about the Harris-Walz campaign – I’ve seen it with my own eyes on this tour. I have personally seen Kamala Harris work for the American people, when I went to her to help expand access to credit for communities of color and make it easier to start a small business, said Congressman Wiley Nickel. “The choice is crystal clear – four more years of Donald Trump will bring more handouts to billionaires and corporations, while he leaves working families high and dry. Vice President Kamala Harris will continue to work to lower costs from housing to groceries and create an opportunity for every family to not just get by, but get ahead.”

“Voting for Kamala Harris will be a historic moment – not just for the communities she represents or her goal to create an economic opportunity – but it will also be the final push to boot Donald Trump out of politics for good, said state Representative Dianne Hart “We all need to share Vice President Harris and Governor Walz’ plans in every county of Florida, including rural ones, because we won’t go back.”

“Vice President Harris has energized North Florida families because they understand she is the only candidate with a plan and the experience to lower costs, ” said state Senate District 3 Candidate Daryl Parks. “Vice President Harris is ready to lead us to victory up and down the ballot so that from Tallahassee to Washington DC we can continue to be  focused on the urgent needs of working families.”
