Orlando is often said to have one of the most creative downtowns in the country. Now, the city’s creativity is soaring to new heights. The City of Orlando’s Downtown Development Board partnered with Creative City Project and United Arts of Central Florida to make way for massive inflatable pigeons to land on the tops of buildings in downtown.
Local artist Brendan O’Conner came up with the idea for “Big City Birds.” This art project is the second installment of Creative City Project’s collaboration with DTO Live. DTO Live is an initiative that will bring more than 800 events to 11 downtown locations until June 2025.
The displays will be located within a two-mile radius from City Hall to the North Quarter District.
Currently, you may view the displays at the following locations:
- 30 S. Orange Avenue
- Stagger Inn at 100 E. Central Blvd
