Florida for Harris Campaign Launches “100 Days Out” Program, Building on First Week Momentum

(Orlando, Fla.) – With close to 100 days left until Election Day, the Florida for Harris campaign is building momentum following President Joe Biden’s decision to endorse Vice President Kamala Harris. The campaign has hit the ground running, breaking fundraising records, reinvigorating voters and volunteers, and now launching the state’s 100 days of action weekend.

Deputy Political Director for Vice President Kamala Harris’ campaign, Kyle Alexandre, campaigns for the Vice President ahead of “100 Days Out” program.

This week has been marked by record setting support for Vice President Harris’ candidacy. In the first 24 hours, Harris for President raised over $81 million dollars with over 60% of donations coming from first time donors. On Sunday evening, a virtual fundraiser and fundraiser for Vice President Harris was attended by over 44,000 black women in leadership roles. Delegates and surrogates around the nation have pledged their support of the Vice President, including in Florida, where 239 DNC delegates have signed on in support. Hundreds of party leaders and elected officials have also lended their endorsement including the entire Florida Democratic Congressional delegation, regional state party chairs, the Florida Black Democratic Caucus, and legislative leaders from across the state.

The Florida for Harris 100 Days of Action initiative will launch this weekend and feature phone banks, canvasses, meet and greets, roundtables, direct-to-voter engagement, listening sessions, and a listening tour in key counties across the state, echoing support for the Vice President from community leaders, coalition partners, volunteers and Floridians. As the Florida coordinated campaign plans to host events across the state, there has been a significant, measurable increase in grassroots recruitment for volunteers–with over 6,000 organic volunteer signups and counting –who are energized and getting involved with our campaign for the very first time.
