On Saturday, Orlando welcomed another Florida Classic football game. The game between two historically Black universities — Florida A&M University (FAMU) and Bethune-Cookman University (B_CU) — not only brings a weekend of competition between the two institutions but it’s also a reunion of old college friends.

The weekend included all of the signature events like the Consortium Kickoff Luncheon, Battle of the Bands and the Florida Classic Night of Distinction. More than 2 million fans have attended since the first game in 1978, making it the BIGGEST Black college football game in the country.

This year, the FAMU Rattlers (41) emerged victorious over the B-CU Wildcats (38). More than 56,000 fans packed Camping World Stadium eager to cheer on both football teams as well as the world-famous, Sudler Award Winning Marching 100 and the Wildcats Marching Band. Sponsors of the event included Florida Blue, Disney and the United States Army.
