NEW DELHI — Bollywood actor Disha Patani on Aug. 28, 2021, announced her second schedule wrap for the upcoming film “Ek Villain Returns,” which also stars John Abraham, Tara Sutaria, and Arjun Kapoor in lead roles.
Patani took to her Instagram handle and shared a group video and photos with her team from the film set while penning a heartfelt note of thanks for them.
“It’s a second schedule wrap!! #ekvillianreturns thank you, my amazing team, for all your amazing hard work and dedication, nothing without you all. Big hug and lots of love,” she wrote.
The “Malang” actor also shared pictures of the cake on her Instagram story from the schedule wrap party and tagged the movie’s director — Mohit Suri.
Meanwhile, co-actor Kapoor, who is known for his films like “Ki and Ka,” “Sardar Ka Grandson,” “Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar,” etc., on Aug. 28, 2021, headed to shoot for “Ek Villain Returns.”
He took to his Instagram story to make the announcement.
Kapoor can be seen wearing a white t-shirt with black jeans and sported matching shoes in the picture. He completed the outfit with a silver watch and a pair of shades.
“Coming for you Villians @mohitsuri @tarasutaria @amulvmohan,” he captioned the photo.
“Ek villain Returns” went on floors on March 1, 2021, in Mumbai, India, and the first schedule was shot between Patani and Abraham. However, keeping in mind the rising coronavirus cases, the makers shifted the shoot location to Goa, where its prequel “Ek Villain” was shot.
The film will mark the reunion of Kapoor and Suri after the duo worked together in the 2017 drama film “Half Girlfriend.”
Apart from “Ek Villain Returns,” Patani has also worked with Suri on his 2020 crime drama film “Malang.”
Reportedly, Sutaria will also sing a song for the film besides acting.
The film’s prequel featured Sidharth Malhotra, Shraddha Kapoor, and Riteish Deshmukh in the lead roles.
Released in 2014, “Ek Villain” revolved around the story of a hardened criminal whose terminally ill wife is murdered by a serial killer.
The upcoming film, which is helmed by Suri, is being jointly produced by Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series and Ekta Kapoor’s Balaji Telefilms.
Patani was last seen in Prabhu Deva’s 2021 action crime directorial “Radhe” opposite actor Salman Khan, Randeep Hooda, and Jackie Shroff.
Next, she will be seen in “Sangamithra,” helmed by Sundar C. The film will also star Jayam Ravi and Arya.
Patani will also act in Ashima Chibber’s comedy film “KTina,” which will also feature actors Vijay Raaz, Lillete Dubey, Raqesh Bapat, and Simone Singh.
Suri’s other credits include “Zeher,” “Kalyug,” “Who Lamhe,” “Raaz: The Mystery Continues,” “Hamari Adhuri Kahani,” “Crook: It’s Good To Be Bad,” and “Aashiqui 2.”
