Update: District 5 Election Results

Tomorrow, Orlando residents hope to find out who will become the next District 5 City of Orlando Commissioner. If no candidate receives 50%  +1 of the vote, the race will be forced into a run-off.

According to the Supervisor of Elections, only 1,334 or 6.27% of District 5 registered voters have cast their vote. Currently, 1,041 mail ballots have been returned and 293 voters have taken advantage of their right to vote early.

The commission seat became vacant after Governor Ron DeSantis removed Commissioner Regina Hill after allegations Hill exploited a 96-year-old woman. If charges against Hill are dropped or if she is found not-guilty, Hill will be able to reclaim her seat. Hill maintains her innocence.

Tomorrow, polls are open 7am-7pm. Be sure to bring your photo ID.
