Last month, Sood launched COVREG, authorized by the Ministry of Health in India, to help rural Indians register for vaccination against Covid-19. Spice Money backs the particular initiative with its rural fintech expertise and will provide onboarding services through its website.

Speaking about the initiative, he said that since rural India is struggling with the vaccine registrations, a familiar face helping them will additionally push the process.

“Vaccination is the need of the hour in India to win the battle against Covid-19,” he said.

“Rural India continues to struggle in coping with the pandemic and is now also struggling with vaccine registrations. So, COVREG is created based on a detailed understanding of rural India and its needs observed through months of on-ground work.”

“COVREG addresses rural-specific issues of vaccine registration and provides much-needed assistance to hesitant rural citizens.”

On the film front, Sood will feature in the upcoming Telugu movie “Acharya” starring Chiranjeevi. He also has “Prithviraj,” co-starring Akshay Kumar, in the pipeline.
