On Saturday, Central Floridians gathered for another year of Nathaniel’s Hope’s “Make ’em Smile” event at Lake Eola in Downtown Orlando.
The organization, Nathaniel’s Hope, was established in 2002 after four-year-old Nathaniel Timothy Kuck died as a result of multiple birth anomalies including Duodenal Artesia and Craniosynostosis.
Nathaniel’s parents, Marie and Tim Tuck, invite the community each year to share Nathaniel’s Hope mission.
According to the organization’s website, the Tuck’s experienced first-hand how demanding it can be to raise a child with special needs. It was through Nathaniel’s life that they were introduced into the world of disability, and once he passed away, they realized it was a world they couldn’t leave — a world God had brought them into. As a result, Nathaniel’s Hope was born.
Nathaniel’s Hope is dedicated to kids with special needs and their families. The organization also educates and equips communities and churches to provide programs and assistance for those families.
Nathaniel’s Hope doesn’t just celebrate Nathaniel once a year. The organization is entrenched in the Central Florida community. It provides various programs like Buddy Break, Make ’em Smile and Keep ’em Smiling just to name a few.
Nathaniel’s presence is still keeping children with special needs, as well as their families, smiling and thriving.
The organization is looking for volunteers for their Buddy Break program and Prayer Team.
