Central Florida Urban League Welcomes New President and CEO

A new year represents new beginnings and the Board of Directors of the Central Florida Urban League is proud to welcome Elizabeth Grace as the new President and CEO of the CFUL.

A native of Orlando, Elizabeth Grace has dedicated her career to empowering our community through advocacy, collaboration and engagement. For more than a decade, Elizabeth has worked to build bridges between diverse groups and as such, foster environments of innovation and education.

“We are excited by Elizabeth’s energy and deep passion for our community,” said Paula Hoisington, Chairwoman of the Central Florida Urban League. “Her experience lines up perfectly with our focus on education, employment and entrepreneurship and Elizabeth will immediately elevate the CFUL throughout our region.”

Previously, Elizabeth held numerous positions in the non-profit sector, most recently, as the Director of Community Engagement for the UCF Downtown/Valencia College Downtown Campus. Additionally, Elizabeth served as the Executive Director of the Association to Preserve African American Society, History and Tradition, Inc. (PAST, Inc.), where she oversaw the Wells’Built Museum of African American History & Culture.

“I am humbled to have been selected to lead such a historic organization,” said Elizabeth Grace. “Whether through youth programming or their adult educational pathways, the Central Florida Urban League has always been able to anticipate the needs of our community and as such, been incredibly successful in their efforts to empower and uplift Central Floridians. I look forward to building upon past successes and helping our community for years to come.”

“I would also like to take this opportunity to thank our entire team, especially Ms. Enid Munfus, who served as our Interim President and CEO, for their hard work during this transition process,” added Ms. Hoisington. “On behalf of the Board of Directors, we wish Elizabeth congratulations and look forward to ushering in this new chapter for both our organization and our community.”
