Frost Will Serve as Lead Democrat on Economic Growth, Energy Policy, and Regulatory Affairs Subcommittee, Tasked with Raising Wages, Lowering Costs, and Promoting Solutions to the Housing Crisis
WASHINGTON, D.C.—Today, Congressman Maxwell Alejandro Frost (FL-10) announced he was selected to serve as the Ranking Member and top Democrat on a critical subcommittee housed within the powerful Oversight and Government Reform Committee.
Frost, who has spent two years on the Oversight Committee battling MAGA extremist disinformation and government abuse by Republicans, has been tapped to serve as the Ranking Member of the Subcommittee on Economic Growth, Energy Policy, and Regulatory Affairs – a subcommittee focused on battling inflation, the climate crisis, and the erosion of workplace rights and supporting economic growth, affordable housing, and job creation.
In a statement, Rep. Frost says:
“I’m grateful to our Democratic leader on the Oversight Committee, Gerry Connolly, and to my colleagues for putting their trust in me to lead the fight against Republican attacks on working-class families for the next two years.
“In the face of a new Trump Administration that is hell-bent on creating a government by billionaires and for billionaires, I’m committed to putting working people first, not last, by fighting for pro-renter legislation and affordable housing policies while defending union workers and their collective bargaining rights.
“The working people of Central Florida sent me to D.C. to protect their rights and build power for them in the halls of Congress – that’s exactly what I plan to do as their Oversight Subcommittee Ranking Member.”
