Arrest Made in Fatal Shooting of Quelson Quenton Pierre

March 10, 2025 – Authorities have identified the victim of a fatal shooting that occurred last month and have made an arrest in the case.

Quelson Quenton Pierre, 26, was found dead from an apparent gunshot wound on February 8. Deputies discovered his body inside an apartment on Grande Pointe Boulevard after responding to a call about an unresponsive man.

The following day, law enforcement took 16-year-old Isael Melo Rivera into custody on an arrest warrant for second-degree murder.

Officials have not released additional details about the circumstances surrounding the shooting or the relationship between Pierre and Rivera. The investigation remains ongoing.

Initial Investigation

On the morning of February 8, at approximately 11:50 a.m., deputies responded to the 1800 block of Grande Pointe Boulevard, where they found Pierre inside an apartment with visible trauma. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

At the time, authorities stated the investigation was in its early stages, and no suspect information was immediately available.

With Rivera’s arrest, investigators are continuing to examine the case. Further updates will be provided as more details emerge.
