Arrest Made in Fatal Shooting of Orlando Man Near Rio Grande Avenue

An arrest has been made in the shooting death of a man found near the intersection of 22nd Street and Rio Grande Avenue in May of last year, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.

Dey’Montae Seright, 22, has been charged with manslaughter with a firearm in connection to the fatal shooting of 53-year-old Andre Pierre Alloway. Authorities confirmed Seright’s arrest on March 21, 2025. His booking photo was released, but no additional details regarding the arrest or motive have been made public.

The investigation began on the evening of May 20, 2024, when deputies were called to the area at around 8:48 p.m. in response to a shooting. Upon arrival, they found Alloway suffering from gunshot wounds. He was rushed to the hospital but later died from his injuries.

Detectives initially sought the public’s help in solving the case, releasing a Crimeline bulletin and urging anyone with information to come forward.

Officials say the investigation is still ongoing.
