An 18-year-old man who was shot and killed Thursday night in Orange County has now been identified as Divine Leron Freitas, according to the sheriff’s office. Freitas, born on July 24, 2006, was found by deputies after they responded to reports of a shooting around 8:45 p.m. on March 20 in the 400 block of Creekwood Drive.

Authorities say Freitas was transported to a hospital where he later died from his injuries.

Detectives are still working to piece together the circumstances surrounding the shooting. The case remains an active homicide investigation, and officials have not released any additional details at this time.

No suspects or motives have been made public, and investigators are urging anyone with information to come forward.
